Jayawardene: How cricket united Sri Lanka post-tsunami
Former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene says cricket was a uniting factor in Sri Lanka, including among Tamil rebels, as it recovered from the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami which killed more than 35,000 in the country and injured over 20,000 others.
Jayawardene also discussed the emotion of captaining the Sri Lankan side against England Cricket in the first test at the rebuilt Galle cricket ground - which had been devastated by the tsunami - in December 2007.
