There are calls for more to be done to publicise the risks from Radon Gas which affects thousands of homes in Northamptonshire. The geology of Northamptonshire means that at least 7,500 houses - and possibly as many as 12,300 - in the county have potentially dangerous Radon levels.

Northamptonshire is one of the first places to benefit from new Government cash to improve opportunities for the most deprived children. Educators, such as pre-school groups and childminders, will get upto 拢300 extra for each eligible child aged 3 or 4.
