The Murder of Dian Fossey
In December 1985 zoologist Dian Fossey was murdered at her research centre in Rwanda. She established the remote Karisoke research centre at a time when some feared the mountain gorillas could become extinct. Kelly Stewart worked with Dian during her ground-breaking study of the primates.
She spoke to Witness about her memories of Dian and working in Rwanda.
