Carlton Cole wants Russell Brand to help him fight Ebola
The West Ham striker's links to Sierra Leone mean he's keen to raise awareness and funds to help support King's College University's work in west Africa.
Cole's mother is from Sierra Leone and there are currently other members of his family living in the country which is one of three devastated by the virus.
He wants his fellow footballers, and the odd celeb, to help out with a "Football Fighting Ebola" social media campaign similar to the recent "Ice Bucket Challenge".
Cole was speaking to 91热爆 London 94.9's Ian Williams.
