Lawrie Sanchez on being stripped naked by Wimbledon's Crazy Gang
The former Wimbledon player Lawrie Sanchez, the man who scored the winning goal in the 1988 FA Cup Final win over Liverpool, describes what it was like being part of the Crazy Gang including the initiation rituals new players had to go through.
'At the end of training they used to grab the unsuspecting newcomer and strip you naked. You had to traipse across the common with people walking their dogs holding your modesty and walk through a transport café back to the dressing room.
'There was a mental initition process as well which you had to get through. There were some players in the dressing room who were extremely funny, extremely cutting and they could kill you in front of everybody else. You had to get through that and some players didn't make it.'
This clip will be part of Inside the Dressing Room, which will be broadcast on 5 live, Wednesday 19 November 2014.
