Merv Hughes on 'sledging' in cricket
For former Australian cricketer Merv Hughes the sport was about physical and verbal combat.
The former fast bowler in the late 1980s and 1990s had a fierce glare and would subject opposition batsmen to wisecracks or verbal abuse, also known as sledging.
But what does he make of on-field sledging in modern cricket? And how does he view the controversial claims of England cricketer Kevin Pietersen who says that during his career a culture of bullying existed inside the England cricket team - a claim other England players say they do not recognise.
