Hodgson: Rooney 'was the saviour of English football'
England manager Roy Hodgson has praised captain Wayne Rooney's resolve before he wins his 100th cap in Saturday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia.
Rooney, 29, made his England debut aged 17 in 2003 and is the country's fourth top goalscorer with 43.
