Heather Rabbatts of the FA believes that as well encouraging more black coaches into football, a greater representation of BME professionals is needed in all areas of football.

Speaking with Mark Pougatch and Professor Ellis Cashmore, Rabbatts said "Black and ethnic minority coaches don't think they can even begin to apply for jobs like an executive of a club or a physiotherapist or doctor," adding that "football is losing talent because of its closed systems of recruitment."
