The former Manchester United captain and defender spoke to Sarah Brett and Dan Walker about his relationship with the club's ex-manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

"My relationship was good with him in general, but we had our ups and downs...we were both passionate people who wanted to win and his desire to win was ridiculous".

Referring to heated conversations off the pitch: "There were moments where he probably thought I went too far...but invariably he has the last word".
