Exhibit B's Namibian choir on The Culture Studio (2)
The Namibian choir perform on 91热爆 Radio Scotland's Culture Studio, ahead of their performance at Festival show Exhibit B. The show is both is both a performance and an exhibition, and is accompanied by music from the choir, which sing songs of sorrow sung in Nama, Otjiherero, Oshiwambo, Tswana and Xhosa.
The creator of this piece, South African artist and director Brett Bailey, offers a vivid and intimate take on the colonial history of Europe and the UK in Africa, but also modern day issues of immigration. The show runs from 9-25 August at the Playfair Library Hall.
