Wellingborough Councillor Robert Hawkes has resigned from the Tory group over the council's lack of consultation when deciding to close Glamis Hall day centre.
A Wellingborough councillor has resigned from the Council's Conservative group over the way the council made the decision to close Glamis Hall day centre.
Councillor Robert Hawkes says the lack of consultation over the decision was not constitutional and he's called the Conservative group on Wellingborough Council, and I quote, "a bullying dictatorship."

That's the view of independent shop keepers in the town, even though footfall in the town is up 2 percent compared to last year, bucking the national trend, with free parking at weekends credited for it.
