Anthony Hopkins reads Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night
As part of a tribute programme to theatre legend Laurence Olivier, Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins reads Dylan Thomas’ famous poem ‘Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night’. The poem, written in 1951 by Thomas following the death of his beloved father, was included in the tribute as Olivier himself had finished a recital celebrating his 80th birthday with a never-to-be-forgotten rendition of the poem. The tribute programme was broadcast in July 1989 following Olivier’s death at the age of 82.
