To celebrate the centenary of Dylan Thomas, poet Owen Sheers studies the masterpieces of the self-styled ‘Rimbaud of Cwmdonkin Drive’ in the Raymond Williams Lecture.
Thomas’ classic works like Fern Hill, And Death Shall Have No Dominion and Do Not Go Gentle established him as one of the English language’s greatest poets of mortality.
