Northants Veterans Remember D Day 70 Years On

Raymond Moore from Wellingborough and Dennis Parrish, who lives in Irthlingborough, are both veterans of D Day. They share their stories on the 70th anniversary.

Former shoe repairer Raymond Moore from Wellingborough was a 19-year old Lance-Corporal when he landed on Gold Beach at Normandy on 6th June 1944. Dennis Parrish, who lives in Irthlingborough, was bomb aimer and flight navigator on board an RAF Mitchell bomber on the morning of D-Day. Raymond and Dennis share their memories as commemorations take place in Normandy and in Portsmouth to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
