To get a better understanding of what happened at the battle of Bannockburn, we conducted a unique archaeological experiment.

Using stuntmen, horses and a small army of battle re-enactors lead by Charlie Allan of Clanranald, we pieced together what happened when the English and Scottish forces clashed. Schiltrons were the deciding factor in the Scots victory over the much bigger English army.
