The South African elections
South Africa marked the 20th anniversary of its hard-won democracy with a ballot last Wednesday in which the ruling ANC gained a majority of the vote, far ahead of all opposition groups.
These are the first elections since the death in December of Nelson Mandela, the country's first black president.
A 91热爆 poll suggests unemployment is the major issue for young voters in the country, where about a quarter of the workforce is jobless.
