PM listeners' sounds: Morse code
Tonight's favourite sound from a PM listener comes from Brian Higton. He writes: Most people would consider morse code to be an obsolete technology. However, this efficient and effective medium is still widely used by amateur radio operators world wide. Brian says: this is a recording of me using a manual morse key to send a 'CQ' message inviting anyone to reply. The message format is similar to the distress message sent by the Radio Operator on the Titanic. The message ends with the single letter 'K' to tell the other station to start sending.
