Gary Kirsten: England Cricket coach job 'too onerous'

The former India and South Africa opener Gary Kirsten told 5 live why he has ruled himself out of the running to become the England cricket team's new head coach and said "that door is closed".

He said he'd find the "time away from home too onerous" and has chosen not to spend time away from his young family, but it was "a privilege" to be considered and any international coach would "be a fool" not to consider the position.

Kirsten also commented on the criticism surrounding the current frontrunner for the job, Ashley Giles, after the struggles of the one day team. He said that "a few results" should not make their decision.
