Luton airport expansion to go-ahead

The government has given the go-ahead for the major expansion of London Luton airport, which will take passenger capacity up to 18 million a year.

Meanwhile several airports, including London Luton, have suffered overnight delays at passport control due to a fault on UK Border Force computers.

Simon, a passenger arriving from Barcelona, waited two hours at Luton. He told the Iain that the queue was like a sea of people and if you went to the toilet you lost your place in that queue.聽
