Maria Miller should resign over expenses claim
"In a business environment, you'd be asking for a resignation". Lord Digby Jones, former head of the CBI, says Maria Miller should stand down over her expenses claim even though he agrees she's done nothing wrong. He says she needs to set an example and show leadership. Mrs Miller, the Culture Secretary, has apologised to MPs after she was ordered to repay 拢5,800 for over-claiming mortgage expenses. A parliamentary commissioner, who conducted the initial investigation, ruled she should repay 拢45,800 but this was cut to 拢5,800 by the House of Commons Committee on Standards.
