Angela Rippon talks make-up and how men and women look
Angela Rippon talks about changing - or not changing - attitudes to how people look.
The 69-year-old presenter and former newsreader looked back over her TV career, spanning five decades, to look at attitudes to how people look, and how many women made it in TV and the media, saying that there were more women in leading roles "doing a brilliant job" today.
She spoke to Andrew Neil, along with Michael Portillo who reckoned "so many people don't give a damn about how they look, how they dress and what their figures are", while Diane Abbott claimed "you never saw anorexia 30 or 40 years ago", but many viewers used social media to dispute her claim.
