When a referee gets it wrong
It's not often you see a referee reverse a decision on the football pitch, but in the League One match between Sheffield United and Brentford, Eddie Ilderton did just that. After sending off a Blades defender, the referee consulted his assistant and changed his mind. The penalty was not given and the player was called back on to the field.
It comes as Andre Marriner, who issued a red card to the wrong player in Chelsea's victory over Arsenal is appointed to officiate in the FA Cup Semi Final between Hull City and Sheffield United.
