Silverstone Objects To Government Funding For Wales Circuit
Developers behind the Circuit of Wales scheme in Ebbw Vale are said to want up to 拢50m Government funds which Silverstone says would be "illegal state aid".
Developers behind a proposed new motor sport venue in Wales are said to be asking the Welsh and UK governments to commit up to 拢50-million to the project.
When Silverstone asked for Government funds its application was rejected on the basis that it would be regarded as 鈥淚llegal state aid鈥, so Silverstone鈥檚 Managing Director Richard Phillips has written to Prime Minister David Cameron asking for reassurance that the Circuit of Wales at Ebbw Vale would not be treated differently.
