Select the area, or some places on existing borders to plant flowering shrubs and dig some planting pits to accommodate your chooses species of plants. Taking a look on the internet will help you choose, however, any early or late flowering shrubs will do the trick.

My favourites are Shrub Honeysuckle, Buddleia, Any Viburnums, Daphne's as these will give very early colour. Mahonia Japonica "Charity, a sweet smelling evergreen plant with bright yellow flowers and any heathers or Erica's to add colour during early spring and summer. Once the plants are in the ground, make sure they are well firmed in and give them a good watering and a liquid feed With luck and a few days of sunshine Bees and other pollinating insects will begin to take up home in your garden.
