Jimi Hendrix and Me
Kathy Etchingham, a DJ and hairdresser from the north of England, walked into a London nightclub in 1967 where she met the Jimi Hendrix before he became famous.
The pair was soon living together and here she recalls their time as a couple including the occasion they rowed over her mashed potato which led to Hendrix writing the song The Wind Cries Mary.
