91热爆 Radio Northampton has discovered that in the past five years more than 1600 cautions have been handed out by Northamptonshire Police, some for serious crimes like aggravated burglary, absconding from custody, sexual assault and more.

For the last four years the Magistrates' Association has campaigned against what they call the inappropriate use of cautions and other out of court disposals.

Reporter Tom Percival outlines the issues and concerns about the use of cautions, while Stuart talks to Richard Monkhouse, the head of the Magistrates Association, and to Andrew Wilson, Head of the Justice Department at Northamptonshire Police.
