The National Obesity Forum says the Government's not giving local councils, the people who're meant to be reducing obesity, enough money to do the job.

Northamptonshire鈥檚 Health and Wellbeing Board admits that existing weight-loss schemes are inadequate, despite costing 拢350,000 a year.

Reporter Willy Gilder and Councillor Robin Brown, who chairs Northamptonshire鈥檚 Public Health Committee, discuss their personal efforts to lose weight.

Stuart talks to 64-year old Joy Rogers from Long Buckby who was referred by her GP to a weight-loss programme, paid for by the County Council, to 23-year old singer Matt Churchley from Daventry, who attended weight-loss meetings, to Tam Fry, the Chair of the Child Growth Foundation and a spokesman for the National Obesity Forum, and to Dr Akim Ali, the Director of Public Health for Northamptonshire.
