Seven New Year Honours For Northamptonshire

A Head Teacher and a Chair of School Governors recognised in the New Year Honours.

There are seven recipients of New Year Honours in Northamptonshire.

There's a knighthood for Mike Griffiths, Head Teacher at Northampton School for Boys, Doctor Jane Doughty from Cogenhoe is made CBE for services to education, and former prison governor and currently Director-General of the 91Èȱ¬ Office Crime and Policing Group, Stephen Rimmer from Brackley, is made a Companion of the Order of the Bath.

Andrew Basford from Daventry is made OBE for his work with the Serious and Organised Crime Agency, Carrol Burdon from Northampton is made MBE for services to customers and the economy, and there's a British Empire Medal for Martin Izzard for his work on the Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership.

Mrs Joan Marti, Chair of the Governors of Northampton School for Girls, is made MBE. Stuart talks to Mrs Martin at her home in Hardingstone.
