Christmas and New Year’s traditionally a time of increased strain on emergency services and hospital A& E departments. They generally see an increase in the number of calls from people who don’t have a genuine emergency – or need treatment as a result of a drunken accident or violence. We’ll be speaking to them about what it’s like to work over Christmas – and the cases they deal with.
And we’ll be finding out more about the light lit in Bethlehem that’s making its way to Teesside to symbolise peace.
