Surviving sickle cell - West Midlands
A sickle cell sufferer says the power of prayer has helped her cope with the complications it has caused - and to write a book charting her journey.
Sickle Cell anaemia is a blood disorder that mainly affects people of African and African Caribbean heritage.
Julianna Wey suffered seizures and has liver and kidney failure as result of this blood disease.
Despite her health challenges she has taken the time to write a book charting her journey and how she has overcome the hardships she has faced.
She spoke to Nikki Tapper and started by explaining what it's like to live with Sickle Cell.
