We had to go where the work was: Kenneth and Patricia
Ken and Patricia reflect on the first chapter in a life lived largely overseas. With work in the jute industry having dried up in his native Dundee, Ken took a job in Pakistan. He went on ahead, leaving his wife to bring 3-month old daughter Hailey to Pakistan alone. It was the first flight for them both. Life was hard and conditions fell far short of expectations. Almost losing Hailey to whooping cough pushed them both the breaking point, but they stayed for 2-years. Ken took the chance to thank Patricia wholeheartedly for her perseverance, and for being such a good wife to him and a good mother to their kids.
