People in Kettering are waiting almost a year for the chance to appeal benefit decisions they think are wrong, more than twice the national average.

The Ministry of Justice, which runs the system of tribunals, acknowledges the problem and says it is taking steps to remedy it but some people tell 91Èȱ¬ Radio Northampton that they're flat broke and suffering because of a bottlenecked system and assessments they think are wrong.

Reporter Tom Percival speaks to Scott Spiers from Kettering and to Theresa Cox from Barton Seagrave. Both have Fibromyalgia and both are experiencing long delays in having their appeals heard.
