One in three women in Northants are not diagnosed with osteoporosis until they break at least three bones. It is particularly prevalent in women over the age of 50.
One in three women in Northamptonshire is not being diagnosed with osteoporosis until they break at least three bones.
The condition is particularly prevalent in women over the age of 50. Garfield House in Kingsthorpe offers sheltered accommodation to people over the age of 60. Reporter Stephen Humphries went there to speak to some of its residents.
Stuart speaks to Ali Jennings from the National Osteoporosis Society, and to Deb Dormer from Daventry who was diagnosed with osteoporosis nine years ago.
