Windrush celebrated: 65 years marked with call for Windrush Day
A special church service was held to celebrate the Christian contribution of nearly 500 West Indian Windrush passengers, 65 years since the ship arrived in England.
At the same time, a proposal is calling for government to establish an annual Windrush Day, marking the contribution of Caribbean migrants to British society.
