Mummification in Ancient Egypt
Dr Joann Fletcher visits Turin museum to examine the process of mummification. She outlines some of the important stages, including the removal of the brain and organs, the use of Canopic jars, as well as explaining why the heart was left inside the body. Joann also looks at the significance of the amulets and jewellery that were placed on the mummies before they were buried.
