Doris Day is nominated for the Singers Hall of Fame
Nominator: Maxine Storey
From: Chinnor, Oxfordshire
Maxine nominates Doris Day for a place in Michael Ball's Singers Hall of Fame.
Why: "I have been a big fan of hers ever since I can remember even though I was born a couple of years after she made her last film. She has 39 movies to her name and many hundreds of songs over the years including unforgettable classics such as "Sentimental Journey", "Que Sera Sera", "Move Over Darling" and even a cover of the Joni Mitchell hit, "Both Sides Now", making each one her own with her very distinctive vocals.
