The case for genetically modified crops
Botanist, Timothy Walker makes the case for genetically modified (GM) crops. For 10,000 years we have already been manipulating plant genomes, crossing and selectively breeding plants to produce crops with higher yields and more desirable characteristics. Although there may be some risks attached with GM crops, Timothy argues that these are outweighed by the opportunity to reduce world hunger.
