The childhood and education of Elizabeth I
The childhood and education of Elizabeth I, during the years of 1536-1543. Letters from her governess to Thomas Cromwell show how Elizabeth's education and well-being was neglected by Henry VIII, and how at the age of nine this was transformed by Catherine Parr. Scenes set in Tudor buildings and period dress illustrate an aristocratic Tudor upbringing.
