The significance of Jerusalem to Jews
Two Jewish teenagers explain the importance of the Temple in Jerusalem for Jews. God commanded the Jews to build a golden arc to keep the blocks of stone on which the Ten Commandments were written. The Jews stored the arc in the Temple in Jerusalem. Although the Temple was destroyed twice, and the arc lost, the site of the Temple is still a holy place. The only part left standing today is the Western Wall, and Jews travel from all over the world to pray there.
