Cold case Mummy
The 5,500 year old mummy whose murder is solved by a virtual autopsy
Internet Society in Doha
The Internet Society is meeting in Doha, Qatar to discuss how the internet has impacted on the lives of people in the Arab world. If there was any doubt about that then the events of the Arab Spring earlier this year showed just how powerful and transformative the internet could be. Click is joined by Dawit Bekele and Constance Bommelaer from the Internet Society to discuss the rise of the Arab information society.
Cold case Mummy
A 5,500 mummy, called Gebelein Man, has been one of the most famous exhibits at the British Museum since his remains were acquired over a hundred years ago. But though he had been preserved with organs intact very little was known about him. A new exhibition at the Museum has employed the latest in CT scanning to reveal hitherto hidden truth about Gebelein Man. Click hears from Neal Spencer, keeper of Ancient Egypt and Sudan collections at the British Museum, and from David Hughes of the Interactive Institute in Sweden on solving this 5,500 year old mystery.

Thought control cursors
A number of researchers in recent years have been investigating how they might help people who have been paralysed to be able to interact with computers merely through their minds. This kind of thought-control relies on neural prosthetics – where someone with paralysis, might be able to control a computer or artificial limb for instance just by thinking about making movements. For the latest news in this exciting discipline, Gareth Mitchell is joined by Professor Krishna Shenoy of Stanford University in California.
