A team which supports people when they're discharged from hospital says it's saving the NHS in Northamptonshire more than 拢1-million every year, but its future funding is being reviewed.
A team which supports people when they're discharged from hospital says it's saving the NHS in Northamptonshire more than 拢1-million every year. The organisation, called "SERVE", helps patients with issues ranging from re-designing their home to their immediate care needs. That means they leave hospital sooner, so reducing bed-blocking. Reporter Tom Percival meets Shiela who has used the service, while Stuart talks to Barry Graves, the Chief Executive of Serve, and to Councillor Robin Brown, who has responsibility for adult social services at Northamptonshire County Council.
