Birthmark: Lorraine and Helen
As a child Helen's birthmark disfigured her face, but growing up she was always treated specially by her family and friends. She had many painful operations throughout her life to remove the mark and as an adult it is hardly noticeable. However, as she reveals to her mum Lorraine, life often feels harder as a 'normal' looking adult than as a 'special' child.
