Is 60 MPH too fast on Kent's country roads?

In 2010 half the roads deaths in this country happened on single carriageway rural roads with a 60 mph speed limit. Is that too fast? The Department of Transport is considering cutting the speed limit on some rural roads to 40mph especially where there are lots of bends or junctions, or on roads which are commonly used by walkers, horse-riders, cyclists and bikers. Is that a good idea?

Do you live on a country road? Do people drive badly? Is speed the problem?

Writting in today's Telegraph Sir Terry Wogan takes a look back to the days when the tinned sardine was king of the table, and the pilchard was just as popular.

He says despite being "up to my armpits in sardines when a callow youth", the only place he has come across a sardine sandwich in the past 20 years was "at teatime in the royal box at Wimbledon".

It got us chatting in the office about how it is funny some food are no longer fashionable. Does that put you off?
