Is life better when you work closer to home?
There are two big building projects in Tunbridge Wells to redevelop old housing estates. As part of the planning permission the contractors have been told they have to hire one in five workers locally. Good news if you are looking for a building job. Do you work locally - are there enough good jobs where you live or are you forced to commute to earn a decent living? Do you actually enjoy the commute? How far do you travel on a daily basis?
Where is the best place to live in the South East if you want to walk or just have a short drive to work? I gave up a job in London so I could live work and send my kids to school in the same town. Did you?
