The 91热爆's most senior journalist John Simpson is making a programme called When I Get Older. As part of the series, he moved in with a pensioner and visited a care home for dementia patients.
He says he would rather commit suicide as opposed to live with the illness in misery and be a nuisance to people.
It is something none of us would choose, something most of us are terrified of and something many of us will be forced to endure.
Can a life with dementia still be a life worth living?

Also on the programme, growing up here in the South East in the 60s Rosalinda Hutton enjoyed a normal childhood until her struggling parents could no longer cope.
After a brief spell with warm and loving foster carers she was placed in a convent in Kent to be looked after by the sisters of mercy and plunged into a dark and terrifying world of a 1960s institution.
Rosalinda, now living in Dartford, always vowed to tell the world what happened to her. She has now witten a book and share some of her tales with Julia (10.10)
And it seems that rather than working a mere nine-to-five, many workers are now putting in a 12 hour shift every day.
The typical employee is now working from 0717 until 1902, because they have mentally clocked in before leaving the house and struggle to switch off when they get home.
Experts say the increase in working hours is due to the fear of redundancy during the current climate. People are even turning up for work when they are sick.
Professor Cary Cooper, a workplace expert at Lancaster University coined the phrase presenteeism and talks to Julia about the trend (11.20).
