MP "satisfied" with troll sentence + Bypass delay goes on

Corby MP Louise Mensch responds to the sentence handed to a man who threatened her & her children online + a further delay is likely for a bypass round Isham.

Corby MP Louise Mensch tells Stuart that she is "satisfied" with the sentencing of a man who threatened her online. Frank Zimmerman from Gloucester was given a 26-week suspended sentence and banned from contacting a number of well known people, including Mrs Mensch and her family.

Graham Rait, Chairman of the Isham Bypass Action Group, talks to Stuart about Northamptonshire County Council applying to extend the planning permission time limit for a bypass around Isham for a further 10 years. Among those texting the programme in response is Paul Blantern, the County Council's Chief Executive.

Graham Osbourne, head game keeper at Boughton House in Kettering, tells Stuart about the issues surrounding poaching after four men were found guilty of poaching on land near Aston Le Walls.

Dave Shamma, regional organiser of the GMB union, and Chris Heaton-Harris, Conservative MP for Daventry, debate the GMB's assertion that 1 in 5 part-time workers in Northamptonshire think they'd be better off on the dole than they are working.

A new bank - the Cambridge & Counties Bank - has launched, saying it is ready to lend out 拢100-million over the next 4 years to small and medium sized businesses in Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire. Stuart talks to the bank's Chief Executive Gary Wilkinson and to the former chairman of the Northamptonshire Federation of Small Businesses Graham Goss and senior partner at chartered accountants Haines Watt, which has offices in Northampton and Kettering.

As Corby prepares to greet the Queen tomorrow, reporter Martin Borley sees rehearsals at the Core at the Corby Cube where Her Majesty will see a 10 minute entertainment by local performers. Stuart talks to Chris Stephenson Corby Borough Council's Head of Culture and Leisure about road closures and car parking arrangements for the Royal visit.

Reporter James Tzanoudakis visits Northampton College to see the end of year projects from the creative arts student, and James also goes to Seawell Grounds in Foxley where a conference is being held to mark 50 years since Charolais cattle were first imported to the UK from France.
