Euan McIlwraith visits Ailsa Craig to find out about the recovery of the puffin population. Puffins were wiped out by rats but twenty years ago the rats were eradicated and now the puffin population is thriving again. Spotting the puffins was not a problem but Euan didn’t expect to have an encounter with another of the island’s residents – a slow worm.
