Wilko Johnson on 'the most beautiful landscape in the world'
Saturday Live’s John McCarthy takes a trip to Canvey Island on the Thames Estuary in Essex for its annual concert celebrating the music of Dr Feelgood. The band formed and grew up there, and have held the concert every year since the death of original lead singer Lee Brilleaux. McCarthy meets the band’s first guitarist and songwriter Wilko Johnson in The Canvey Club to talk about the profound influence growing up on the Estuary had on his music and soul.
