Should every failing school in Kent be closed? Kent's first academy is failing its pupils. Ofsted inspectors say the Marlowe in Ramsgate fails to give its pupils an acceptable standard of education, many 14 and 15-year-olds have a reading age two years below their actual age.

Kent primaries have also been criticised by Ofsted for failing to give their pupils a high enough standard of education.
