There are mixed messages from the government over what to do incase of a fuel strike.

Taxi drivers in Bedford have welcomed the donation of CCTV cameras for their cabs.

The junior transport minister, and Hemel Hempstead MP, Mike Penning, has said it was a mistake for the government to advise people to store petrol in jerry cans because of a threatened strike by tanker drivers.

Petrol retailers had accused ministers of "creating a crisis" by apparently recommending stockpiling.
